Luis Ramos de la Torre (Zamora, 1956 -) is a teacher of Philosophy, and a scholar on that subject thanks to his Dissertation Poetry and Salvation in Claudio Rodríguez (An Interpretation based on Ortega) (Madrid, UNED, 2007). He has contributed to the establishment of connections between the Zamoran poet and contemporary currents of thought, such as the one provided by Ortega y Gasset –the topic of his Dissertation. He has also explored anthropological links in articles such as “Visión antropológica de la mano y los oficios en el pensamiento y la poética de Claudio Rodríguez” (in VI Congreso Internacional de la Sociedad Hispánica de Antropología Filosófica, Málaga, 2004) or in “La salvación en Ortega como poética de la meditación: hacia Claudio Rodríguez” (in Congreso Internacional “Ortega medio siglo después 1955-2005: La recepción de su obra“, Madrid, 2005).
His more recent essays on the same topic are (Poesía y salvación en Claudio Rodríguez) (PiEdiciones, 2017) and Hacia lo verdadero (Cercanías a la vida y al arte en la poesía de Claudio Rodríguez) (Chamán, 2022), both with a foreword by Miguel Casaseca Martín.
As a complement to his research activity on Claudio Rodríguez, Luis Ramos de la Torre offers musical versions of his oeuvre in his works La canción que cantábamos juntos (2001) and El aire de lo sencillo (2007).
